Born in 1982 and originally from the Lanaudière area, I have lived in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, Canada for nearly ten years now. I still have childhood memories of my father teaching me the basic operation of an SLR camera. I have always done a little photography without investing a lot of time in this activity. My deep passion for photography developed slowly during my first few trips abroad and finally gained momentum over the past five years. Self-taught photographer, I evolve in photography by reading books and blogs as well as sharing with other enthusiasts.
My greatest source of inspiration is the beauty of the nature that surrounds us and the serenity it brings me. For this reason, my portfolio is mainly made up of photographs of natural landscapes. Images of flowers, animals and urban landscapes are also in my portfolio. I try to immobilize the beauty and emotion that emerges from the scenes I capture on my camera in order to share them with others.
In recent years, I have had the opportunity to practice my art with the landscapes of St-Jean-sur-Richelieu and Quebec, of course, but also of Alberta, Cuba, Italy, the United States and Iceland. My first exhibition: The beauty of our planet, was held in October 2018 in Montreal. It showcased Iceland’s unique landscapes. In 2019 I joined art[o] the local art cooperative in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu. My work is available on several mediums: a great diversity of photo paper, canvas prints, HD metal prints and acrylic prints. You can follow my journey on Facebook and Instagram. @pictaseb
